Gophers Take First Place!

Gallena University's men's 4-man rowing team recently took first place at the prestigious California Cup competition. The 2011 California Cup competition was held last week in the San Francisco Bay just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Twelve teams from across the United States participated and this is the first year that Gallena University’s rowing team won 1st place. The Gallena crew team edged the UMass Rowing team by 8 seconds to win the 2011 California Cup Championship on Sunday. After placing third at nationals in 2010, the team made it its goal to win it this year.
